What is Skull Base Surgery?
Skull base surgery refers to a wide range of surgical techniques used to address diseases that affect the anterior skull base. Most commonly this includes endoscopic surgery performed through the nostrils in the nasal cavity and sinuses in conjunction with our partners in Neurosurgery but may also include endoscopic surgery through the orbit and mouth as well as open surgical options. Ultimately, we use a combination of all the surgical techniques available to create a customized surgical plan for each one of our patients.
